I wish i could be like

I wish i could be like my husband.

He is such a strong personality that nothing phases him. He is single minded in his focus and gets things done. He is not afraid of hardwork and of life's challenges and hardships. He is willing to do what it takes to get a job done be it painting the whole house, fixing a garage disposal system or doing the taxes, booking vacation tickets which could take upto a whole day if you ask me.

These are all just peripheral qualities. The real quality to die for, is that he is comfortable in his own skin, not trying to change his spots, but rather accept his weakness and acknowledge his strengths. He is not sorry for his weakness but wears it as comfortably as his strengths. It takes very few people not to be sorry for their weakness but not my proud husband. He is just proud of who he is, he does not have to prove anything to anybody or the world, except for himself. His internal barometer is so high and he just focuses on what he wants to be in life, how he wants to be and gets about achieving it. He does not sit around on the fence, worrying about every passerby who gives him a loving or a nasty look.

He has no heroes either. Like Mark Twain said 'If everybody was satisfied with himself there would be no heroes.' He just admires the act and not the person, so there is no adulation or hero worship that you can expect from him. It is like hate the sin not the sinner, so he really views the person as an instrument to accomplish the task.

He is so strong, so invincible, he is all man, that is my man.
